The plan was drawn up to ensure safety along the parade route and facilitate the inflow and outflow of participants. The city will therefore be accessible, but with some precautions: those who want to attend the event live will have to get organized in time and learn about the changes to transport in detail.

  • Funicular of Mergellina (entire system).

The closure, ordered by the Prefecture at the request of the Police Headquarters, is defined as temporary but indefinite, or until the end of the celebrations and the complete outflow of the public. This is a precautionary measure for avoid gatherings and overcrowding in sensitive areas of the seafront, where a massive influx is expected.

What time do stations close and when do they reopen?

The closures will go into effect at 16:00 PM Monday 26 May 2025. An official reopening time has not been communicated: the reactivation of the service will take place in the stations involved only after the end of the party and once the flow of participants has been completed. Everything will depend on the progress of the demonstration and the assessments of the police, for this reason the duration of the suspension is indefinite and could continue until late evening.
