Sunday 11 May will be held the largest environmental campaign to clean the waters and beaches of the Mediterranean even in Naples!

Summer is approaching and we all want to find the waters of our sea and the beaches of our coasts clean and free from waste. Let's do it Mediterranean! and the environmental awareness campaign towards our Mediterranean Sea, and that its objective is to clean it from waste and allow its cleanliness and biodiversity.

The Neapolitan environmental association CleaNap will participate in the great cleanliness of the beaches and waters of our peninsula to be held Sunday 11 May also in Naples, by appointment at 10 hours at the Rotonda Diaz, inviting all volunteer citizens who want to participate in the initiative that will be held simultaneously in 22 Mediterranean countries for "Raise awareness of citizens and institutions for the safeguarding and protection of our marine ecosystem".

Joining the environmental campaign is very simple, just bring a pair of gloves and bags, and go to the Round Diaz Sunday May 11, where the waste will be mapped on the beach and in the sea that will then be collected and differentiated into "A moment of cleaning and awareness to be built with the contribution of all the volunteers", in what will become a very important day of information and awareness of respect for the environment.

"Our goal is to make Naples, once again the center of the Mediterranean and a bridge between all the international realities that will join the initiative, hoping to have a significant and transversal participation of citizens, in order to raise the issue with the institutions, to implement stricter legislation requiring the installation of purification plants, sewage systems, the transfer of open landfills near the coasts and the introduction of modern waste management techniques ”.

The days of Let's do it Mediterranean! they will be two, on 10 and 11 May 2014, will involve 22 Mediterranean countries and will foresee more than 15 actions in different Italian cities. Among the objectives of the largest awareness campaign for our marine ecosystem is to create a scientific and legislative public database sufficient on the environmental status of the Mediterranean Sea to make recommendations to the governments concerned by 2014.
