Naples Metro and funiculars extend service through January 5 and 6, 2025.
On the occasion of the Epiphany long weekend, Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 January 2026, ANM has arranged the Extension of Metro Line 1, Metro Line 6, and the Chiaia, Centrale, Montesanto, and Mergellina funicularsA measure designed to facilitate evening travel for residents and visitors during two days traditionally characterized by high attendance in the city.
The improved service will make it easier to get around during the evening hours, especially in central areas and along the busiest routes.
Metro Line 1: last night services
With regard to the Metro Line 1, the service will be extended beyond the usual evening hours. The last scheduled trips on Monday, January 5th and Tuesday, January 6th are:
- from Piscinola: last race at 01:20
- from the Business Center: last race at 01:32
The extension allows for smoother connections between the suburbs and the center, even late at night.
Metro Line 6: service schedules
La Metro Line 6 will keep the service active until the evening, with the following last departures:
- from Show: last race at 20:34
- from the Town Hall: last race at 20:33
A useful timetable especially for those travelling between the western area and the city centre.
Funiculars: runs until 2 a.m.
Good news also for those who use the Chiaia, Centrale, Montesanto and Mergellina funicularsOn both January 5 and 6, 2026, the service will be extended with:
- last run at 02: 00
A significant extension that will facilitate the evening return from the hilly areas and the historic center.
