Naples Metro Line 1 and Line 6, May 15th temporary closure

For reasons related to thepublic, on the day of Thursday 15 May 2025, Municipio station of Line 1 and Line 6 of the Naples subway will remain closed from 14:00 pm to 18:30 pmThe decision was officially communicated by ANM (Neapolitan Mobility Company) through its institutional website and social channels. During this time slot, it will not be possible to access the station for security reasons.

The closure affects one of the main interconnections of the Neapolitan urban transport system. To reduce inconvenience, ANM advises users to use the Alternative stations of University and Toledo, fully operational during the indicated time slots.

How to get to the port during station closure?

Even during the suspension of service at Municipio station, the connection with the port remains guaranteed. It will in fact be possible to access the port area through the entrance of Via Medina, which remains open and operational. In this way, those who need to go to the embarkations or return from the islands can continue to use public transport, avoiding the use of private cars.

What alternatives to use during service suspension?

As an alternative to Municipio station, passengers can:

• use the University station (Line 1), located a short distance away, reachable on foot or by bus.
• Get off at the Toledo station, another central stop, convenient for reaching the historic center and surrounding areas.
• Using the lines ANM bus which cross via Medina, piazza Bovio and via Toledo.
