Naples in the Heart 2024, Music and Theater at the Auditorium Parco della Musica

Saturday September 21th, At 21.00,Ennio Morricone Music Park Auditorium of Rome will host the XII edition of “Naples in the heart”, a special evening dedicated to the Neapolitan culture and beneficence. The event, which has now become a regular event, was created to support the project “Gigi’s House” of Community of Sant'Egidio of Naples, located in the Spanish Neighborhoods, and represents a unique moment to celebrate theNeapolitan art through music, , e evidence.

The social and cultural meaning of “Naples in the heart”

In addition to being a great cultural event, “Naples in the heart” has always had a strong solidarity component. This year's edition continues to support the projects of the Community of Sant'Egidio of Naples, in particular “Gigi’s House” in the Spanish Quarters. Over the years, thanks to the commitment of over 100 artists, the show has contributed to achieving concrete results for those in difficulty, demonstrating how the Neapolitan culture may be a vehicle for solidarity. The event, conceived and conducted by Fabrizio Finamore, renews its commitment to narrate and celebrate the cultural and social universe of Napoli, keeping alive the bond with its tradition.

The artists of the 12th edition

On the stage of this 12a edition, great names of Italian music and theatre will perform. Among the protagonists we find Danilo Rea, famous pianist, and Root, historical voice of Almamegretta and recently known for his participation in “Mare fuori”. The public will also be able to appreciate the performances of Peppe Servillo, actor and singer, and the award-winning actress Marina Confalone, winner of five David di Donatello awards. There will be no shortage of artists such as Gianluca Guidi, famous for his musical comedy shows, and the singer-songwriter Joe Barbieri, who dedicated an album to Neapolitan music. Among the returns to the stage, the jazz vocalist stands out Cynthia German, flanked by the cellist Giovanna Famulari and by the guitarist Roberto Guarino.

This year, Naples in the heart will celebrate two important anniversaries. The first is the 40 anniversary of the cult film “Thus spoke Bellavista”, honored by the presence of Marina Confalone, the symbolic actress of that film. The second is the memory of the great Eduardo De Filippo, 40 years after his death. The tribute to this giant of Neapolitan culture will be paid by Marzio Honorato, known for his participation in “Un posto al sole” and for his memorable performance in “Natale in casa Cupiello”, alongside Eduardo.
