Naples, metro, bus and funicular timetables for Easter and Easter Monday 2025

During the holidays of Easter (April 20) e Easter Monday (April 21st) 2025, ANM Company modifies timetables and services on the subway, funiculars, buses, elevators and parking lots. Here is the complete operational plan.

Metro Line 1: special timetables and closures

Line 1 of the subway will undergo significant changes during the two holidays. Sunday, the services will be interrupted for a few hours, to then resume in the afternoon. On Monday, however, on the occasion of an event scheduled at the Centro Direzionale, an extended service is planned on the main route. Here are the details:

  • Sunday April 20:
    • Suspension of service at 13pm.
    • Last races: from Piscinola hours 12: 29, Business Center 12:59 pm.
    • Afternoon reopening: first ride from Piscinola at 16pm, from Centro Direzionale at 45pm.
    • First ride from Dante and Vanvitelli towards Piscinola: 17pm.
    • Second exits closed: Salvator Rosa, Rione Alto and Toledo II (Montecalvario).
  • Monday April 21:
    • Service extended until 01:35.
    • Active route: Piscinola - Garibaldi.
    • Last departures: from Piscinola at 01:20, from Garibaldi at 01:35.

Subway 6 Line

Line 6 will also run limited runs on Easter Sunday, to allow for the early closing of services. The last runs will be at midday, according to the following times:

  • 20th April:
    • Last races from Show 13:12, Town Hall 13pm.

Funiculars: morning and evening runs

The Naples funiculars will guarantee a morning service until the early afternoon and, with one exception, will reopen regularly in the evening. The Mergellina Funicular will only provide the morning service. Here are the details:

  • Sunday April 20:
    • Funiculars Centrale, Chiaia, Montesanto, Mergellina: first ride at 07:00, last ride at 13:30.
    • Reopening at 16:30 pm, last ride at 23pm (excluding Mergellina).
    • Mergellina Funicular closes after 13pm, no afternoon reopening.

Public elevators

The elevator service will follow a differentiated schedule between the morning and afternoon of Easter Sunday. Some systems will be active only in the first part of the day, while others will only start operating in the evening. The following is the expected schedule:

  • Chiaia, Acton, Health, Fans: in service from 07:00 to 13:30.
  • Monte Echia: active only in the afternoon from 16pm to 30pm.

Buses and surface transport

Surface transport will be partially suspended on Sunday, with service resuming in the afternoon. A regular holiday schedule is planned for Monday, with some lines extending their night schedule for an event. Here are the full details:

  • Easter (April 20):
    • Service suspended at 13pm.
    • Service resumes at 16:00 pm.
    • Alibus line active with ordinary hours.
  • Easter Monday (April 21st):
    • Regular holiday service.
    • Extension until 02:10 of April 22 for the lines: 130, 151, 191, 412, 421, on the occasion of the event circus loco at the Centro Direzionale.

Parking

The parking service remains active during the holidays, with different opening hours and times. Some areas will guarantee 24-hour availability, while others will observe an extended service during night events. Below is the plan:

  • Sunday April 20:
    • Spalti and Frullone: open 07:20 – 01:30.
    • Mancini: 07:20 - 23:30.
    • Brin and Colli Aminei: always open (24 hours a day).
  • Monday April 21:
    • Parking at the Business Center extended until 02:00.
