The Naples Pizza Village 2013 will take place again on the Lungomare with a World Pizza-maker Championship and a Museum dedicated to pizza
Also this year the usual appointment with the Naples Pizza Village will be held in the splendid setting of our Lungomare, on Via Caracciolo. The 40 pizzerias that will participate, with as many wood ovens and well 4000 places to sit down, they will work with skill and care to churn out quality products.
From 3 to 8 September 2013, the Lungomare will be the largest pizzeria in the world and the intent of the event will also be to exceed the record for pizzas baked last year: 75000.
During the week dedicated to the typically Neapolitan product, the first traveling museum dedicated to it will also be presented and, moreover, the Pizzaiolo World Championship in the 3 and 4 days.
The tournament will allow you to win the Caputo Trophy and, for the first time, will take place in Naples, at the Rotonda Diaz. For the occasion, it will be built “Pizza stage“, With numerous terraces that will allow a splendid view of the sea, the gulf and Capri. Over 500 pizza chefs, from 50 countries around the world, will compete in various competitions for the assignment of 8 titles: from the best at preparing the classic recipe to the best pizza chef in acrobatic preparation.
As regards the Pizza Museum, it will be set up in the gardens of via Caracciolo and will contain about 500 items: from the tools of the trade to the original clothing of the pizza makers of the various eras, up to the historical images related to the product. Furthermore, the historian Luca Falace and the Italian artist Laura Cionci will be present who will present an iconographic journey and of works related to the world of pizza.
Finally, the entrance ticket will cost 10 € and will allow you to consume a pizza, a drink, a cake or an ice cream, a coffee or a fruit juice. In addition, the positions of the distribution of drinks and coffee will be doubled to speed up and cancel the expectations due to the large public attendance.
