On the wonderful Caracciolo seafront of Naples, Naples Pizza Village returns for its fifth edition
In September, 2015 back on the wonderful Caracciolo seafront of Naples, overlooking the gulf, the fifth edition of Naples Pizza Village, the event promoted by the Neapolitan Pizzaiuoli Association and, this year, exceptionally also by the Milan Expo. Right at the Expo, the Neapolitan pizza chef Vincenzo Capuano, world winner of the 2014 Rossopomodoro Cup, will prepare the pizzas for the visitors.
During the Pizza Village, which this year will take place from 1 to 6 September 2015, will be awarded the XIV trophy Caputo, which will decide among 500 international pizza chefs, participants in the challenge to the last pizza, the 2015 world champion.
But among the various shows and events scheduled, the special guest of the kermesse will be pizza in all its variations, from the classic to the more particular ones. They will be present 50 historical pizzerias Neapolitan, which made the whole world fall in love with this inimitable product and that the 2009 received from the European Union the name of Guaranteed Traditional Specialty (STG), designed to safeguard the traditional Neapolitan pizza, specifically the “Margherita” and “Marinara” ones.
Each pizza maker jealously guards his own recipe, but the pizza to be doc must be made only with quality ingredients, adding one that we only have in Naples: lart of kneading.
And, while waiting for the event on the Lungomare, let's follow the advice of Pino Daniele and let's do it "Na pizza c'a pummarola 'ncoppa / you'll see that the world will smile at you!"
