Naples May 1st bridge. Metro, bus, tram and funicular timetables
In view of the long bridge of the May 1 2025, City of Naples has implemented an extraordinary plan to guarantee the mobility of citizens and tourists. With over 1 million 300 thousand visitors expected in the city, the Mobility Department has prepared a series of enhanced services on subways, funiculars, buses, trams, elevators and taxis, to facilitate travel between the historic center, monumental areas and hilly areas. Below, all the useful details for moving around Naples during the bridge.
Metro Line 1: extended evening runs and high frequency
La Line 1 the subway will follow extended hours on holidays Friday 2 and Saturday 3 May:
- Last ride from Piscinola at 01:20
- Last ride from Centro Direzionale at 01:32
During the entire operating hours, a frequency of one run every 9 minutes. Some partial closures are planned:
- The connecting corridor between Line 1 and Line 2 at Museo station closes at 23pm
- The exit corridor Port of the station Town Hall closes at 22pm
Line 6 and Funiculars: connections between the center and the hills
La Line 6, which connects Town Hall Square and Fuorigrotta, will continue to operate on the entire route with timetable 7:00 – 15:00.
Le Vomero funiculars will be operational with trips every 10 minutes and extended hours on weekends:

Buses and trams: more routes and strategic connections
To improve access to the centre and discourage the use of private cars, tram lines 412 and 421 strengthened with frequency every 7 minutes. These lines connect the Brin parking and Piazza Garibaldi e Piazza Municipio, nerve centres of the city.
Public Elevators: Guaranteed Vertical Mobility
L''Monte Echia lift, which connects Santa Lucia with the panoramic area, is active every day from 07: 00 to 22: 00. It is expected a extension until midnight, which will be confirmed in the next few days by ANM.
Alibus: airport and station always connected
Il servizio Alibus connecting Port, Central Station and Airport will be guaranteed with:
- 12 operational vehicles, increaseable up to 13 in case of extraordinary influx
- Contactless payment availability via TAP&GO (credit card or debit card without the need for a paper ticket)
Taxi service strengthened
