Anm announces a strike in the cable car sector for Monday 14 April, with a suspension of service from 9:00 to 17:00The mobilization, promoted by the UILTRASPORTI, It represents the second industrial action launched in 2025 and will involve the entire network of city funiculars
Which funiculars are affected?
Le funiculars involved in the strike are:
- Chiaia
- Mergellina
- Central
- Montesanto
The service will be regular until 9:20, time of the "last ride guaranteed in the morning". The resumption of service is scheduled with the first afternoon race at 17:00 pm.
The interruption falls within the methods provided for by the guarantee bands, as established by Law 146 / 90 which regulates strikes in essential public services.
Why the strike was called
The basis of the protest is the failure to sign the union agreement of the 22 January 2025. UILTRASPORTI has decided to intensify trade union actions to draw attention to the contractual criticalities still unresolved, considered fundamental for the protection of workers in the cable car sector.
According to the union, the current working conditions do not meet the commitments made and therefore a strong action is necessary to stimulate a concrete response from the company.
