From the 6 22 2014 June Naples will return to being an open-air stage thanks to the kermesse Naples Theater Festival, now in its seventh edition this year.

The festival program includes 19 absolute premieres, 9 Italian prime and 2 upgrades, 3 thematic focus (on the world of children, on Chekhov and on Eduardo De Filippo) and others location, like some Neapolitan theaters but also more "unusual" places, including the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, the Public Dormitory and the Academy of Fine Arts.

Tickets, promotions and subscriptions

From 8 May 2014 you can buy tickets to attend the shows of the Naples Theater Festival. The official ticket office of the festival will be the Teatro Mercadante, in Piazza Municipio, but you can also go to the TicketOnLine points of sale and at the event locations on show days.

Until May 16 it will be possible to buy Festival tickets at discounted prices:

  • 70 € instead of 100 forStandard subscription (6 shows at choice: 2 in the green belt, 2 in the blue band and 2 in the red belt)
  • 75 € instead of 110 for the Couple Carnet (2 inputs for 3 shows to choice: 1 in the green band, 1 in the blue band and 1 in the red band)

Reshimo
choreography by Noa Wertheim - Vertigo Dance Company

  • The Israeli dance company Vertigo Dance Company returns to perform at the Napoli Teatro Festival for the third consecutive year and inaugurates the famous event with a new choreography Noa Wertheim on music by Ran Bathroom that moves in the balance between sensual and tribal movement, investigating the dichotomy between infinite and finite.

The mayor of the Health District 
by Eduardo De Filippo, directed by Marco Sciaccaluga

  • First tribute of the festival ad Eduardo, for the thirty years since his death. The text is readapted for the scene from Marco Sciaccaluga which for the first time confronts an Edwardian text, interpreted by Eros Pagni. A famous comedy he meant "Give a precise indication to justice".

  • Luca De Fusco is inspired by Chekhov to stage his Garden of the Cherry Trees through a Mediterranean approach, to tell the difficulties of Russian society and southern society to enter the perspective of the industrial revolution.

  • Lluis Pasqual It offers a Final match immersed in the Neapolitan culture, to be inspired by the words spoken long ago by Samuel Beckett: “One late Paris afternoon I heard from his mouth that the great sin of man is to take himself too seriously. SHE-RA-ZADE National Ballet of Kosovo

  • Modern version of Scheherazade that, through the story of imaginary and real stories, redeems his life.
