The Nature Reserve

The Astroni Nature Reserve has returned to the circuit of special protection of the WWF.

Basically, it is the crater of a volcano off which covers an area of ​​247 hectares. In the lower areas of the crater, three were generated laghetti, such as the Lago Grande, the Cofaniello Piccolo and the Cofaniello Grande, which present vegetation typical of lake environments, such as reeds, willows, rushes and cattails.

Opening time

  • Friday from 10,00 to 17,00 with closing of the ticket office at 15,00
  • Saturday and Sunday from 10,00 to 17,00 with closing of the ticket office at 15,00

price tickets

During the opening of the show Dinosaurs in the flesh, prices (which include Oasis and exhibition) are:

  • Whole - from 18 to 65 years: € 10,00
  • School groups: € 8,00 entrance and guided tour, € 10,00 or 12,00 entrance with guided tour and educational workshop, according to the chosen workshop
  • Other organized groups: € 10,00 entrance and guided tour
  • Reduced - from 4 to 18 years, over 65, family members, disabled people: € 7,50
  • Special reduced - WWF members and APPI: € 4,00
  • Free - Children up to 4 years and disabled

By car:

Via tangenziale: exit at Agnano (n ° 11), at the roundabout turn right and continue along via Agnano alle Astroni, for about 1,7 Km up to the entrance square, civic 468.

By public transport

Subway Line 2 Mergellina station, then bus C12 to the Piedigrotta-Vittorio Emanuele stop, get off at the Montagna Spaccata-Vigili del Fuoco stop, about 20 minutes on foot
