The new DPCM provides for a long curfew for New Year's Eve and rules for Christmas holidays, travel between Regions and the opening of restaurants and shops.
Today 3 December the Prime Minister Conte presented the new Prime Ministerial Decree of the Government, which will be valid until January 15, with the new anti Covid-19 rules relating to transfers during the Christmas and New Year periods and on any news about the colors of the Regions.
The decree gives indications on the new curfew, on movements between Regions, On 'opening of the restaurants during the holidays and on returning to school.
Curfew on New Year's Eve: until 7 am
We read that in the New Year's Eve the curfew will be extended until 7 am on January 1, 2021, always starting at 22.00.
In this way yes it will avoid the organization of parties and parties, at least outside and in the premises, and therefore also the formation of gatherings, very dangerous for the spread of the infection.
Restaurants and bars
in yellow areas, the restaurants and bars will be open until 18.00 and they will also do takeout and home deliveries. In the orange and red areas, however, the opening is always until 18.00, but exclusively for take-out and home deliveries (without the possibility of consuming inside). The limit of people at the table will be 4 people.
Will hotel restaurants closed New Year's Eve and New Year's Eve can only be celebrated in the room.
Movements between Regions and Municipalities
The decree it does not provide for exceptions for travel between Regions and prohibits travel from December 21st to January 6th. On 25 and 26 December and 1 January, travel between municipalities is prohibited and also the move to second homes in other regions or provinces, regardless of the color of one's region. Only the return to the residence is allowed.
The exceptions are provided for are proven work needs, necessities or health.
Shops open up to 21.00
I shops may remain open until 21.00 pm from 4th December until 6th January. In commercial activities will be closed on holidays and days before holidays "in the markets and my shopping malls, commercial galleries, commercial parks, business combinations and other similar structures, with the exception of pharmacies, parapharmacies, health centers, points of sale for foodstuffs, agricultural and horticultural products, tobacco and newsagents".
Quarantine for those arriving from abroad
Italians and foreigners arriving in Italy from abroad from 21 December to 6 January must respect the quarantine.
Back to school from 7 January
The decree should provide for the back to school from 7 January, but 75% for high school students. We read that "secondary school institutions of the second degree adopt flexible forms in the organization of the didactic activity so that 100% of the activities are carried out through the use of integrated digital teaching and that, starting from 7 January 2021, 50% of the population student activities are guaranteed in presence".
