"Circle. The theater takes you far " is the title of the 2018 / 2019 season of the New Health Theater, a title that expresses the aspiration of this precious hall in Piazzetta San Vincenzo to become international.
The term "Circle" could not be more suited to the representation of theatricals chosen and produced for this sixth season, because it is evoking the "circularity of culture without walls and without barriers, but above all in the free circulation of ideas, necessary to reflect on the transformations that Europe is undergoing"as he said Mario Gelardi, director of the Nuovo Teatro Sanità.
The idea of the dissemination of ideas and dramaturgy, especially at European level, was born later Cities on the Edge, international cooperation project between the Nuovo Teatro Sanità of Naples and two other theaters in Marseille and the Ruhr region in Germany. "From here starts the idea of a season that creates a small observatory on what is produced in Europe and that the district Health becomes for a few months a European theatrical pole, favoring the knowledge of the other and intercultural exchange".
Circle Festival, the project that opens the 2018 / 2019 theater season
Within the sixth season of the Nuovo Teatro Sanità is included the Circle Festival, an exhibition composed of five shows made by companies composed mainly of artists under 35. They have been involved an author for each foreign country, Germany, Spain and Greece, and four authors for Italy.

"Patroclus and Achilles" Italian author Fabio Casano, a show that features Giampiero De Concilio and Alessandro Palladino, directed by Gennaro Maresca.

"The kiwis of Naples", by the German author Philipp Löhle. This is the text that debuted in August in the German city of Herne, at the "Pottfiction" festival, with Vincenzo Antonucci, Luigi Bignone, Anna De Stefano, Simone Fiorillo, Carlo Geltrude, Gaetano Migliaccio, Federica Totaro and Beatrice Vento. The adaptation and direction of Carlo Geltrude, the artistic direction of Mario Gelardi.
