Januaria - A night at the San Gennaro museum it is a suggestive opportunity to get to know the origins of the name of San Gennaro, deriving from the Latin Ianuarius, derived in turn from Ianus (Janus), the two-faced god, to whom the Gens Januaria was consecrated. Discovering, for example, that Januario was not the name of the saint but the last name, as well as that of the descendants of San Gennaro, his relatives: the women who during the celebrations for the miracle, turn to him in a very colorful and intense, as they believe, given the most intense bond with respect to that of the other faithful , to have the right to ask for much more.

It will be a relative of San Gennaro, Eusebia Januario, descendant of the one who kept the blood in the cruets, to guide the public discovering the magnificent treasure, unique in the world and able to compete with that of the English crown. Then the word will pass to Giuseppe Navarra, called the king of Poggioreale, famous for having recovered to the city of Naples the treasure crammed in the Vatican at the outbreak of the second world war.

The show will tell a long time span of seven hundred years and will face all the events related to the Treasure of San Gennaro and its precious jewels, through historical testimonies and imaginative legends. Among the most famous one on the famous gemed miter, the history of the necklace in gold and silver, and the precious gifts delivered to the saint by Napoleon, by Pope Pius IX and by King Umberto I and Margherita di Savoia.
