European Night of Museums 2025 in Naples and Campania. Museums open for 1 euro

Saturday 17 May 2025, the appointment with the returns European Museum Night, a unique opportunity to experience cultural heritage in an intimate and suggestive evening atmosphere. The initiative, now in its twentieth edition, is promoted by French Ministry of Culture, under the patronage of UNESCO, Council of Europe and ICOM, and takes place simultaneously throughout Europe.

Even this year, Naples and Campania actively participate with the adhesion of numerous state museums and cultural sites which, for one evening only, will open exceptionally from 20:00 pm to 23:00 pm, with entrance to the symbolic price of 1 euro (except the free ones provided for by law).

Special initiatives in Campania museums

In addition to the evening opening, many cultural institutes in Campania will offer special events: guided tours, shows, artistic and musical performances, thematic meetings. An opportunity to discover the hidden treasures of museums and live new experiences, often designed specifically for this evening.

Among the museums involved, there will be:

• il National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN), one of the symbolic places of the city,
• il Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte, with its masterpieces and paths immersed in greenery,
• la Certosa di San Martino, overlooking the Gulf,
• and many others among Benevento, Caserta, Salerno and Avellino.

La European Museum Night It confirms itself as a celebration of culture that invites citizens to reclaim cultural spaces in an informal way, encouraging active participation and the discovery of our heritage.

The updated list of participating museums in Campania will be published in the next few days on the Ministry of Culture website and through the official channels of individual institutions.
