At the Institut Français in Naples, “O'Curt” will return, the prestigious celebration of the short film that will see the young directors of the city and an exceptional guest of honor in the competition!
After two years of silence, the film festival dedicated to short films returns to Naples for its 14th edition. From November 19th to 22nd, 2014, the spotlight will once again be on O'Curt, the Short Film Festival , held at the Institut Français in Naples.
The festival was founded in 1996 by the Santa Sofia Municipal Media Library , with the aim of showcasing the work of young Neapolitan directors. After thirteen editions, O'Curt has established itself as one of the most prestigious film events in the city and nationwide.
This year judging the documentaries will be Daniele Ciprì, Maurizio Brucci (writer of Gomorra), Ciro Scognamiglio, Ana Caterina Morariu, the famous cartoonist Dario Sansone and the critic Claudio di Biagio.
In review well 5 sections in the race: national and international authors, Neapolitan authors, works of animation, works created with "light" equipment (smartphones, tablets and GoPro) and short films born in educational environments (schools and laboratories).

All in the presence of the guest of honor Mikhail Kobakhidze , one of the greatest directors and short filmmakers in the world, active between 1961 and 1969 with 6 short films considered “Six little jewels of poetry in images”.
An important opportunity to conceive and understand "what new and future generations have to say," to express and give voice to diverse and multifaceted realities , to understand where Naples and Italy are going.
