On 10 and 11 and on 24 and 25 August 2021 the sixth edition of the special will take place Onion Festival of Vatolla, or a fraction of the Municipality of perdifumo in the province of Salerno.
The festival is organized by the Cipolla di Vatolla Association together with the Municipality of Perdifumo and thanks to the great help of the de Vargas Machuca family. This new appointment will have a very special theme, namely The archetypes of ancient Cilento: Time, Silence, Landscape.
The festival menu, music and events
At the heart of the Vatolla Onion Festival is the goal of enhancing this coming product grown only in this land and is in fact included among the typical traditional products of the Campania Region.
The whole menu of the festival contains the onion of Vatolla which presents a sweet taste, a color that varies from light white to pink and a particular one spinning top shape. During the evenings you can taste onion pancakes, onion au gratin, onion soup, onion parmigiana, Cilento pizza with onion, savory potato and onion pie, meat flavored with onion cream and much more.
To accompany exquisite sweets and excellent Cilento wine. Also scheduled workshops, theatrical performances and good music.
