In the Spanish Quarters in Naples for the summer of 2019 CinemaSpagna arrives, the Cine Espanol Festival now in its twelfth edition!

From 16 to 20 July 2019 will be held in Spanish Quarters in Naples "CinemaSpagna", the Spanish Film Festival. The demonstration that will take place in the Foqus foundation environments has the support of the Spanish Embassy and AC / E.

The event will be inaugurated just tonight, Tuesday 16 July at 21:00 with Rossy De Palma, the actress who charmed the director Pedro Almodóvar and with the screening of the famous film "Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown". The famous actress will receive the Spanish Neighborhoods Award of Naples 2019, which awards the Spanish artist who best interprets the features of the relationship between Naples and Spain, in the contemporary ways of the passion for art, culture and social commitment.

There are therefore five days during which short films will be screened at 19: 00 and after 20: 00 several films will be screened, chosen among the best of the Iberian production in recent years in Italian cities.

Tuesday 16 July 

Inauguration of the event with the great actress Rossy de Palma, at 21:00, with “Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios (Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown)” the famous cult of Pedro Almodóvar.

Wednesday July 17

KIMUAK Short Selection 19 pm - Character Room - 50 min

At 21 pm with “Carmen Y Lola - Italy”, first work by Arantxa Echevarría: a powerful gypsy tale, highly applauded at the Cannes Film Festival and fresh winner of two Goya Awards: Best First Feature and Best Debut Actress.

Thursday July 18

KIMUAK Short Selection 19 pm - Character Room - 50 min

Another Goya Award, a real film case in Spain and box office champion, is the exhilarating "Muchos hijos, a mono y a castillo (Many sons, a monkey and a castle)" by Gustavo Salmeron, which will be scheduled on Thursday 18, always at 21

Friday July 19 

KIMUAK Short Selection 19 pm - Character Room - 50 min

On Friday 19, the world premiere of "Yuli" by Icíar Bollaín ("I give you my eyes", "El olivo"), a biopic on Cuban dancer Carlos Acosta, a living legend of dance who refused to dance as a child because he preferred the ball. The film won Best Screenplay at the San Sebastian Film Festival for Paul Laverty, Ken Loach's screenwriter and Palme d'Or for “Me, Daniel Blake”.

Saturday July 20 

The closing of the Festival, 20 on Saturday at 21 on July, will see the screening of Javier Fesser's acclaimed comedy “Campeones”, Best film in the latest Goya Award, which tells the story of a basketball coach sentenced to nine months of social services to train a team of people with intellectual disabilities
