The premises of the historic apartments of the Royal Palace of Caserta will host the street art exhibition Room Service!
He is about to arrive in the historic apartments of the Palace of Caserta the exhibition of street art Room Service. Curated by Pia Lauro and promoted by the cultural association I.CON.A, Room Service, scheduled 6 from September to October 15 2017, will propose a reflection on the boundary between the perception of reality and the real essence of the facts of our life.
The title of the exhibition, which translated into Italian means “room service”, suggests the idea of privileged access to private spaces, with the possibility of unveiling hidden realities within a wonderful museum environment. The exhibition will in fact be set in the retrostations of the Historical Apartments of the eighteenth century, in which the court had the opportunity to live a daily life free from social conventions. Like the room service workers, the artists will act as the intermediary between what is accessible to all and what remains reserved.
The artists of the Room Service exhibition
The exhibition will draw on the contribution of artists such as HaloHalo, Lucamaleonte, Rero, Wrong e 2501, each of which will occupy a room, leaving a trace with which the public will have new keys to reading about the current reality.
Room Service it will also be enriched by the installation of the musician Salvatore Prezioso, to complete a path with which street art, the public art par excellence, will then re-evaluate the hindsight in their double significance of first private places and then museums.
