Palaces and Neapolitan Villas is a cycle of monthly meetings on the history and architecture of the houses of our city
The new is inaugurated in January 2015 cycle of monthly conferences dedicated to the historic homes of our city, with appointments that will take place until December (with a break in July and August).
The meetings, part of the review Neapolitan Palaces and Villas, will focus each month on a specific building, illustrating its architectural and artistic peculiarities and illustrating the historical aspects of these Neapolitan residences of particular value.
Each meeting will be conducted by some specialists, generally two scholars in different fields, university professors and officials of the superintendencies, experts in the history of the palaces and villas of Naples.
There will be guided tours, which will be organized during the year thanks to the collaboration with theNeapolitan Historical Houses Association, member of the European Historic Houses Association - Campania Section, who also participated in the organization of the conferences.
The first meeting was held on January 14 and we focused on Palazzo Giusso, located in Piazza San Giovanni Maggiore, in the historic center. Participants were the Marquis Francesco Giusso and the lecturers Leonardo di Mauro and Michele Fatica.
