Bagnoli-Nisida parking, work begins: stop illegal parking
New construction site underway in the Bagnoli-Nisida area, where the second project for the construction of a temporary parking lot managed by ANM was started. A space that was once the domain of illegal immigrants during the summer, but which has now been fenced off for the continuation of the works that will last approximately two monthsbarring unforeseen events.
The initiative is part of the broader plan of urban regeneration of the area, an important signal towards the redevelopment of the coastal area.
The two car parks in the Nisida area
The second construction site officially started on Wednesday 18th September for the construction of a temporary parking lot near the Nisida landing stage. This is an area of approximately 2.300 square meters, under municipal jurisdiction.
The estimated duration of the works is two months, barring any unforeseen circumstances. A project that complements the one already started last August, reinforcing the commitment to resolve parking problems and redevelopment of the area.
The Bagnoli-Nisida area, near the North Pier of the former Italsider, will therefore see the birth of two temporary parking lots. The first, of 2.500 square meters, was built in August and will be able to accommodate approximately 200 car. Both car parks are part of the redevelopment project of the former disused industrial area of WITHOUT Bagnoli-Coroglio and will be entrusted on a provisional basis to ANM. Their use is only temporary, since the entire area is intended for future redevelopment.
The project on the Bagnoli area
The intervention in the Bagnoli-Nisida area is entrusted to the Land Reclamation Commissioner of the former abandoned industrial area, with the aim of recovering and regenerating the territory. The works are managed by theRTI, with leader Greenthesis, within the framework of a framework agreement aimed at the environmental and urban redevelopment of the SIN of Bagnoli-Coroglio. A phase that is part of a broader reclamation plan that concerns the entire area, an important step towards the rebirth of the area.
In addition to temporary parking, the entire area of Bagnoli-Coroglio will be the subject of a vast retraining urban planning. The coastline will be reorganized with new buildings and infrastructures. One of the central points of the project will be the recovery of the Coroglio Village, which will be restored and transformed to host hotels, restaurants and various tourist services.
