Off to the countdown to the Chestnut, Truffle and Porcini Mushroom Festival 2018. The Avellino municipality of Volturara Irpina will host three days of entrancing tastes.

From The 19 21 October, the municipality of Volturara Irpina in the province of Avellino will host the thirty-fourth edition of the Festival of Chestnut, Truffle and Porcini Mushroom. After the great success of the Quarantine Bean Festival and the Piana del Dragone Potato, everything is ready for three new nights not to be missed for citizens and tourists from every corner of Campania and beyond.

Broad emphasis will be given to the local gastronomy with the wonderful scenery in the background Square Rome, near the historic Church of San Nicola. The organization of the event took care of it Pro Loco of Volturara Irpina, in collaboration with the Municipality of the Avellino area. There will also be lots of music and a keen eye on craftsmanship, one of the local professional excellences.

On the occasion of the festival, visitors can learn about the Ethnographic Museum of the Piana del Dragone thanks to the help of the volunteers of the Civil Service of the Pro Loco. In addition, you can take advantage of a convenient shuttle to embark on a small journey into the picturesque Mouth of the Dragon
