The San Gennaro 2019 Festival in Naples returns in September to the city's Cathedral.

The Feast of San Gennaro, the venerated patron saint of the Neapolitan province, is celebrated on 19 September 2019 and it is one of the most important religious celebrations of the year for the Neapolitan faithful, who gather in the city Cathedral to witness the miraculous liquefaction of the blood of the saint in ampoules that the Cardinal Citizen exposes to the view and to the veneration of the faithful.

The celebrations will open on 18 Settembre with the traditional procession from the Church of San Lorenzo Maggiore to the Cathedral and with the lighting of the votive lamp in the churchyard of the Cathedral.

Recall that the 19 September some museums are free.
