On the occasion of the celebrations of December 8, 2024, the Municipality of Naples has established a temporary traffic device for Piazza del Gesù and the surrounding streets. The changes will be in force from 6: 00 to 13: 00 (or in any case until the needs no longer exist), with the aim of guaranteeing the safety and correct performance of the activities planned in these areas.

Prohibitions and Changes to Circulation

A) Prohibition of Vehicle Transit

Vehicular transit in piazza del Gesù will be prohibited, with the following exceptions:

  • Rescue and emergency vehicles;
  • Police vehicles;
  • Civil Protection vehicles;
  • Residents' vehicles entitled, who will be allowed access in via Domenico Capitelli and via Cisterna dell'Olio, going through Piazza del Gesù and leaving the obelisk of the Immaculate Conception on the right side of the direction of travel.

B) Parking Prohibitions and Modifications to Parking Spaces

  1. Stopping and parking prohibited with forced removal of vehicles throughout the affected area;
  2. Suspension of Rest Areas intended for:
  • Non-scheduled public transport (taxi);
  • People with disabilities, with both generic and customized stalls;
  • Loading and unloading goods.

C) Parking for Disabled Persons

The vehicles of the People with disabilities they will be able to park in the areas reserved for public services (taxis) which are suspended as reported in the previous point B1.

D) Suspension of Paid Areas (Blue Stripes)

In Lower Trinity Major, on the left side in the direction of via Monteoliveto, the areas reserved for regulated parking with a fee (blue stripes) will be suspended for the duration of the temporary device.

E) Taxi Stop

Taxis, for which the reserved parking area has been suspended, will be able to park in the suspended paid areas (blue lines) indicated in the previous point.

F) Delocalized Bus Stop

Stop BY BUS in Piazza del Gesù will be relocated near the Faculty of Architecture. Passenger access will be controlled by the Municipal police.

Additional restrictions: Piazza dell'Immacolata

In Immaculate Conception Square, on the day of Sunday 8 December 2024, a temporary parking ban with forced removal on both sides, from 19: 30 to 20: 30 or until the needs cease.
