The second edition of Pizzafestival will involve hundreds of pizzerias not only in Naples but around the world with events, tastings, music and other initiatives!
Il Pizzafestival 2015 It will take place 22 from June to July 5 2015 with the participation of 500 pizzerias and a program that includes more than 1000 events not only a Napoli, but in Worldwide.
The Festival, in fact, will have an international connotation and will propose itself as an opportunity to promote and enhance the real Neapolitan Pizza within the pizzerias affiliated to theAssociazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) located in dozens of places in the world.
The calendar will be rich in tastings, events, special menus, pairings, musical performances e food and much more and will be divided into several initiatives grouped into seven thematic categories.
For a Festival that does not just take place in a single location, but ranges from Naples to New York, passing through Brazil up to Japan and dozens of other cities, in pizzerias with the Vera Pizza Napoletana brand.
The initiatives
Waiting for Pizzafestival
They will be organized workshops free for children and adults to learn more about all aspects related to the creation of a perfect pizza. Fromproduct excellence used, like oil, mozzarella and tomato, to the possible combinations with beer, wine and water, each seminar will address a different theme.
The streets of the True Neapolitan Pizza
A series of Walking Tour organized by professional guides will accompany tourists and curious people through the streets and historical doors of the city to discover ours culinary traditions.
There will be four tourist / gastronomic itineraries that can be attended, will last 2 hours and will include tastings of Neapolitan pizzas:
- Among the alleys of the historic center
- From Pignasecca to Vomero
- Chiaia and the seafront
- The ancient doors of Naples
Convention and Photographic Exhibition
A scientific conference which will illustrate the results of the research on the digestibility of the True Neapolitan Pizza, carried out by the scholars of the Faculty of Agriculture of Federico II. It will be associated with the photographic exhibition "You want to be a Neapolitan”Which will exhibit over 70 shots by Oliviero Toscani to pizza chefs affiliated with AVPN.
Show Cooking & Media Contest
Show Cooking will be aimed at operators in the sector and in printing with confectioners, bakers e Head that will support pizza makers in explaining the most topical issues on the pizza world. We will talk about sustainability, KM0, gluten-free, pizza for children and much more.
With the Media Contest, however, some Italian foodblogger they will compete in a race to prepare the perfect pizza. They will be joined by AVPN pizza chefs and a jury will evaluate the 2015 Pizza Foodblogger.
