Polibus 2025, the free shuttle that connects Naples to its theaters is back

In 2025, the Municipality of Naples renews the Polybus, the free shuttle service that connects the heart of the city to the peripheral theatres TAN - North Area Theater e NEST – Naples East Theater. This project, born to break down geographical distances and promote cultural participation, represents a concrete example of inclusiveness. Spectators will be able to use the service to watch a selection of 18 theatrical performances, discovering the unique cultural offering of the polycentric city.

How does Polibus work?

Il Polybus offers a direct and free connection from the strategic points of the city centre to the two peripheral theatres:

  • For the TAN – Teatro Area Nord (Piscinola): departure from MANN – National Archaeological Museum of Naples (Piazza Museo, 19), with an intermediate stop in Gold Medal Square.
  • For the NEST – Naples East Theatre (San Giovanni a Teduccio): departure from Piazza Giovanni Bovio (University station on Metro Line 1).

The service is available upon reservation and guarantees easy access to events, promoting culture as a bridge between the different neighborhoods of Naples.

NEST – Naples East Theater

  • January 12, 2025, 20:30 p.m.: Without a script, improvisation by Mariano Bruno.
  • January 28, 2025, 20:30 p.m.: Offside – Arpad Weisz's Last Game, by Andrea Vellotti.
  • February 15-16, 2025: Award-winning Bellavista Pastry Shop, comedy by Vincenzo Salemme.

TAN - North Area Theater

  • January 19 2025: I hold on to your face that goes from the peaks to the heart, dedication to Massimo Staich.
  • February 8-9, 2025: Death or Sunday Lunch, theatrical reflection on everyday life.
  • February 15-16, 2025: Oct, visual show by the Unterwasser company.
