Pomigliano Jazz 2024: the program of the XXIX edition of the Festival

Pomigliano Jazz, the festival dedicated to jazz music, among the most important and appreciated on the Italian scene, returns with a new event that will take place from 13 to 28 July 2024 . This year we are celebrating his twenty-ninth edition with a truly rich program that will be divided betweenJuly and September.

The festival is financed by Campania region, by the Ministry of Culture and the Vesuvius National Park Authority and will take place in various places in Campania.

Some concerts will also take place on Vesuvius, in fact thanks to this festival you will have the opportunity to discover tourist itineraries according to philosophy Green Jazz. In fact, the event combines concerts with "Roots, territories to discover", with nature, cultural and food and wine itineraries.

The program

July 17

  • At the Roman Amphitheater of Avella at 19 pm guided tours and at 30 pm performance by the duo John Scofield and Dave Holland. The concert will open with a performance by Francesco Nastro DRIN Quartet who will present a preview of the new album "Fiori di Marzo".

21th July

  • From 17 pm guided tours at the Vesuvian Observatory Museum in Herculaneum. Following concert at sunset with Marco Zurzolo who will present his latest project "The whistle is not scary."

27th July

  • Guided tours at the Antica strada Matrone on path number 6 of Vesuvius starting from 17pm. Followed by concert at sunset with Maria Pia De Vito who will present "Pass Line" together with guitarist Roberto Taufic and pianist Roberto Rossi

28th July

  • At the Crater of Vesuvius at 16 pm the concert with Peppe Barra accompanied by the Greek accordionist Magda Giannikou and the saxophonist Daniele Sepe

These are only the events for the month of July 2024. The September program has not yet been announced but at the Circumvesuviana station, temporarily closed to the public on the Naples-Baiano line, activities dedicated to young people are planned with concerts, DJ sets and exhibitions.
