From 5 August to 13 September 2026, Pomigliano d'Arco hosts the second edition of the Pomigliano Theatre Festival, with the theme "Possible Worlds," conceived and directed by Felice Panico. The festival transforms the city into a sprawling stage, with performances in courtyards, historic halls, and gardens, all free to attend until capacity is reached.
The event, supported by the Departments of Culture, Budget, Heritage, and Sport of the Municipality of Pomigliano d'Arco, with the patronage of the Campania Region and the Metropolitan City of Naples, has expanded its scope compared to the first edition: in addition to the Courtyard of Palazzo Municipio and the Sala delle Capriate, the program has also included the Council Chamber, the Courtyard of Palazzo Orologio, and the Garden of the Giorgio La Pira Center.
The festival program
The calendar offers at least two events a week, with a busy weekend in early September, featuring prose theater, music, staged readings, documentaries, training programs, and shows dedicated to sport and civic engagement.
August 5th — The festival opens with John Ludeno in “S-Enz”, a theatrical tribute to Enzo Moscato, accompanied by live music by Paolo Polcari and visual landscapes by Roberto-C.
August 7th Francis Rivieccio brings to the stage “Rainbow – Memories from a True Story,” one of the most awarded shows in Italian theater, an autobiographical story about identity, discrimination, and memory.
August 26th Iaia forte He plays the famous Tony Pagoda, a character from Paolo Sorrentino's fiction, in a refined show that intertwines theatre and literature.
The full program continues until September 13th with additional events including music, readings, and civic theater.
