The Pompeii excavations will offer all visitors thefree entry to the archaeological park on the day of 24 October, day when i 1940 years from the eruption of Vesuvius.
The Archaeological Excavations of Pompeii are one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the world and in southern Italy. Over the years the maintenance of the archaeological park has offered several challenges to the institutions, which have recently succeeded in achieving important objectives.
This year the interventions of restoration and maintenance have allowed the reopening of three zones to the public that until not long ago they were closed to visitors including the Casa dei Vettii, the Domus dell'Efebo and others.
To celebrate the event will be proposed historical installations of the excavations, will be carried out interventions to restore the green present inside the archaeological park and will be made public i results of various research surveys.
