Positano Theater Festival 2020 with the Annibale Ruccello Award: show program

Although in a reduced form, the Positano Teatro Festival will take place this year with interesting theatrical performances!

From the 7 9 August 2020 the XNUMXst edition of the Positano Theater Festival Annibale Ruccello Award, review dedicated to contemporary dramaturgy, Italian and foreign.

Despite the difficulties related to the Coronavirus emergency, the Festival will be able to take place in the setting ofAmphitheater Piazza dei Racconti, a very large place where social distances can be maintained.

In previous editions the locations were more numerous and overlooked beautiful landscapes of our Campania, but this year the health needs made it necessary to organize differently, without reducing the importance of the Festival. Also the days of events are in smaller numbers since it is only 3 days instead of the usual 13.

The program, however, will be equally very interesting and the Annibale Ruccello Prize will be awarded, named after one of the greatest Italian theater authors.

The program of the Positano Teatro Festival

August 7th

At 20.45 pm the recital "Don Rafele, 'in Zucconas and Bammenella. The world of poetry and music by Raffaele Viviani“, Dedicated to the great author Raffaele Viviani. The protagonist is Antonella Morea. Written by Delia Morea, accompanied by the musical ensemble directed by maestro Mariano Bellopede (piano), by Franco Ponzo (guitar) and Gianluca Mirra (drums and percussion). Subsequently it will be delivered on Annibale Ruccello Award to Mariano Rigillo, an important Italian actor. The author of the Award is the international artist Chiara Dynis. The evening will be conducted by the actress Martina Carpi.

August 8th

At 21.00 pm the show "returnees"of Enzo Moscato with Giuseppe Affinito. Moscato himself declares: "Re-returning, re-traveling, re-hearing, re-pronouncing is, perhaps, the attitude that I practice most, and most often, with my theater stuff". The show is presented by the Enzo Moscato Theater Company and by Casa del Contemporaneo.

August 9th

At 20.45 pm Roberto Azzurro proposes "The art of being Bonì“, An original theatrical portrait of the French dandy Boniface de Castellane. The musical accompaniment is by the pianist Matteo Cocca.

At the end of the performance the Mayor Michele De Lucia will deliver the “La Pistrice - City of Positano” Award to the brothers Gabriele and Daniele Russo, director and protagonist of the show "The five roses of Jennifer" by Annibale Ruccello, production of the Bellini Theater in Naples.
