The Campania Region adheres to the promotional campaign to support Procida's candidacy as Capital of Culture 2022!
Each year the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism elects the Italian Capital of Culture, that is an Italian city that has the possibility, for 365 days, to enhance and make known its cultural and artistic heritage.
There are ten Italian cities che will compete for the 2022 prize which will be awarded with a public hearing on 14 and 15 January 2021.
The cities are: Ancona, Bari, Cerveteri, L'Aquila, Pieve di Soligo, Taranto, Trapani, Verbania, Volterra and Procida which is precisely the only city in Campania to be competing.
Procida Capital of Culture 2022
In order to achieve this coveted award, a special award is required promotional campaign to which the Campania Region obviously adheres, thus supporting the candidacy of the city of Procida.
This promotional campaign sees the involvement of artists and representatives of the culture of Campania, with the common goal of promoting the beauties and characteristics of the island of Procida, but not only that, there will also be companies, bodies and foundations of the Region that adhere to this initiative.
In short, if Procida were to win the award as Capital of Culture 2022 this will contribute to having positive effects not only on its territory, but also on the territories connected to it, thus contributing to the development and enhancement of the entire regional territory.
