Racconti al Femminile 2024, six free evenings of music in Naples
From 23 to 30 December 2024, Monumental Complex of San Domenico Maggiore in Naples will host the second edition of the musical festival “Racconti al Femminile”. A unique event that celebrates the talent and sensitivity of women through six evenings of concerts. The shows, with free admission, will begin at 19:00 pm. Reservations are mandatory through the Eventbrite platform, starting from December 19th.
Who are the protagonists of the show?
The event sees the participation of seven national and international artists that explore different musical genres, from jazz to world music, through singer-songwriter and contemporary sounds. Among the protagonists we find:
- Lina Sastri: An icon of Neapolitan theatre and music, he inaugurates the festival on 23 December with the show “Voce 'e notte”, a journey through music, theatre and poetry.
- Patrizia Laquidara & Ebbanesis: December 26th, an evening that unites Italian and Neapolitan tradition in a unique musical dialogue.
- Fatoumata Diawara: On December 27, the famous Malian artist brings the rhythm and energy of African music to Naples.
- Wallis Bird: On December 28, the Irish artist enchants with his unique and scathing style.
- Andrea Motis: Young talent of Spanish jazz, will perform on December 29th with an intimate and refined performance.
- Marina Rei: On December 30, the eclectic Italian singer-songwriter will close the festival with a concert between experimentation and poetry.
What is the aim of the review?
Promoted by the Municipality of Naples as part of the project “Naples City of Music”, “Racconti al Femminile” celebrates the artistic contribution of women in music. The event aims to enhance the variety and complexity of women's talent, creating a dialogue between different cultures, traditions and generations.
Where are the events held?
The exhibition takes place in the suggestive Monumental Complex of San Domenico Maggiore, one of the most iconic places in the historic center of Naples. This space, with its centuries-old history, offers an ideal setting to enhance art and music.
