Referendum 2025, turnout in Naples and regional data

The referendum round of 2025 it ended at 15:00pm on Monday 9th June, with one clear fact: in Italy the overall turnout stopped around 30%, far from the threshold necessary to make abrogative referendums valid.

I hilly neighborhoods of the city are confirmed to be the most participatory also in this referendum round. TheArenella recorded the highest value with a turnout equal to 35,63%, followed by the Vomero 33,28%. Data significantly higher than the city average and which highlight a more marked participation in these areas compared to other urban areas. The intermediate surveys on Sunday had already indicated a growing trend: 7,50% at 12:00, 17,58% at 19:00, until the 24,95% final.

The turnout in Campania was slightly lower than in other regions
In Campania, the final turnout for the 2025 abrogative referendums was around 29%, remaining just below the national average. Among the provinces, the only significant exception is that of Benevento, which touched the 30,90%, resulting in the area with the highest participation in the region.
All the other provinces of Campania remained below 30%, with Naples still being one of the most active cities. The regional data confirms a limited involvement, insufficient to change the national outcome.
