A cause of the pandemic from Covid-19, more precisely for the Omicron variant, Trenitalia is also suffering damage, consequently also all travelers, because the cases of infected people are increasing more and more even among the rows of those who work on the trains.
There have been many races canceled or delayed already in the past few weeks, but currently the situation is even heavier because from tomorrow 10 January 2022 they will be deleted well 180 trains regional throughout Italy.
This is 3% of Trenitalia's local offer. The canceled journeys will be 550 and correspond to 9% of regional transport, but at the same time the State Railways will strive to reorganize regional links and the Frecce with scheduled and limited cancellations, aiming to reduce those in the time slots in which the turnout is lowest.
The canceled trains and replacement buses in Campania
To overcome these heavy inconveniences, they will be introduced buses with road races who will follow similar itineraries. Those journeys that have an alternative with a close departure will be replaced by buses.
Here are the canceled trains in Campania and the corresponding replacement buses:
- trains canceled on January 9th;
- trains canceled on January 10th;
- trains canceled on January 15th;
- trains canceled on January 16th.
Regular Intercity and student rides
In this reorganization there is no cancellation of trains Intercity Day and Night which, therefore, remain regular without any changes in the races.
They will not be affected as well commuter races and those exploited by students, to safeguard them as much as possible.
