RFI, extraordinary maintenance work in Campania and Lazio: changes to traffic from August 1st to 30th

From August 1st to 30th Italian Railway Network (FS Group) will carry out important extraordinary maintenance work on the line Naples – Rome (via Cassino), on the Rome Termini–Colleferro and Rome Termini–Ciampino lines, with the aim of improving safety and smoothness of the entire infrastructure. Work is also underway at Rome Termini Station.

The work calendar

The interventions will be divided into several phases during the month of August:

• August 1-5: works between Cassino and Caserta;
• August 6-15: works between Rome and Caserta;
• August 16-17: works between Rome and Colleferro;
• August 18-23: works between Rome and Ciampino;
• August 6-23: work on the Rome Termini – Frascati, Albano and Velletri lines (Castelli lines).

Furthermore, a first phase of works is planned until August 30th for the Extraordinary maintenance of the shelter on sidewalk 10 at Rome Termini (platforms 20, 20 bis and 21).

The numbers of the intervention

Overall, approximately 3000 hours will be used for the online interventions. 370 Guests, between RFI employees and contractors, for a financial commitment of approximately 15 million euro.

During these days train circulation may be affected cancellations and route changes. Traffic regulations can be consulted on the railway companies' sales channels.
