Riccardo Muti

Riccardo Muti inaugurates the Campania Teatro Festival 2021 with a beautiful streaming concert to live for free!

Great news for Italian music and theater: the maestro Riccardo Muti will be the protagonist ofpreview of Campania Theater Festival together with his Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and the show will be broadcast in streaming on different platforms.

The live, which will be recorded at the Mercadante Theater in Naples on March 19, is part of the new Riccardo Muti tour, which also touches the cities of Bergamo and Palermo. Of course, given the health emergency caused by Covid-19, the concerts will always be recorded behind closed doors and then broadcast online.

Riccardo Muti's concert in Naples: the program

Obviously his Naples could not be missing between the stages of the tour, also considering the great commitment of Riccardo Muti in the rediscovery and promotion of the great authors, composers ed works of the Neapolitan school.

The program at the Mercadante will start with the Spanish Symphony by Saverio Mercadante, composed for I due Figaro. The manuscript of this valuable work was discovered in Madrid in 2009 and the work itself was written in 1826 on a libretto by Felice Romani.

We will then continue with the Symphony n. 9 in C major D 944 by Franz Schubert. It is also in this case one "rediscovered" score.
