John Osborne remembers angrily on stage at the Bellini Theater

“Remember with anger” is the manifesto of a generation very similar to the contemporary one. Stefania Rocca and Daniele Russo are the protagonists of the drama directed by Luciano Melchionna

Luciano Melchionna he directed the famous play by the English playwright John Osborne written in the 1956, from the original title Looking back in anger. The show will go on stage from the 10 15 2013 December and he will see the actors Stefania Rocca e Daniele Russo in the role of the two protagonists.

Remember with rage it is a very current text, which represents the personal events of four characters belonging to that generation that will go down in history like that of the gods "Angry young people", because they are precarious, because they are lost in a restless present, because they cannot see their future on the horizon.

Their home is located in the attic of an appliance store, which becomes an emblem of their personal crisis, a metaphor of a life whipped, but also a choice, because it symbolizes rebellion against the system.

Four young people hurl their anger against the world, against the arrogance and hypocrisy of society, against false moralisms, against boredom and the repetitiveness of everyday things that nullify all passion towards people. “Horrors of the present and of all those to come”.

What has changed from 1956 to today? A lot but not anger, since, as Melchionna himself states, speaking of a drama that has become a "generational manifesto":

"Today we could say that it has heralded our times and is still the manifesto of those who clash with an indifferent society, where everything and the opposite of everything now have the same value and cannot be denied [...] The anxiety for a more just society reappears violently in this era so sloppy in feeling, so incapable of empathy, so close to collapse ".
