An exciting Naples, Capri and Gaeta regatta for the Capri Sailing Week 2017 sporting event!
From the 5 13 May 2017 It will take place between Naples and Capri the nautical event Rolex Capri Sailing Week with over 700 sailors.
To open the wait Tre Golfi it will be the traditional and mundane-sporting lunch on the terraces of the Club of 4 May between the participants and the press. Later, there will be the evocative departure at midnight from the bay of Santa Lucia illuminated by led photoelectric lights, the 63 ° edition of the Three Gulfs Regatta which will start from the docks of the Circolo del Remo and Vela Italia in Naples.
The path
The boats will travel around 150 miles, crossing the Gulf of Naples up to that of Gaeta.
After surveying the island of Ponza and dubbed the Li Galli archipelago in the Gulf of Salerno, they will cross the finish line between Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May on the enchanting island of Capri.
The boats that for their technical characteristics are the favorites and will compete for the title are the Farewell, the Southern Wind 100, Rosalba, Oscar 3, the Mylius 65, Itacentodue.
After two days of rest, the Rolex Capri Sailing Week will resume in Capri with the 2017 National Tyrrhenian Championship, the Mylius Cup and the Farr 40 Class Regatta, reserved to the fleet of one-design boats.
Real-time tracking
The novelty of this year is the tracking that gives the possibility to follow the regatta in real time from the site Rolex Capri Sailing, thanks to a transponder installed on each boat.
Saturday 13 May at 17.00, the final award ceremony will take place of this important week that will transform Naples and Capri into sailing capitals in the Mediterranean.
