Roller Skating Festival 2024 arrives in Naples on the Caracciolo seafront

Naples hosts the second edition of the Roller skating festival, the event dedicated to lovers of skating and to the roller sports in Southern Italy. On 26 and 27 October 2024, the Caracciolo seafront will be transformed into a large outdoor track for professionals, athletes and enthusiasts, who will be able to participate in races, shows and performances in a festive atmosphere. The event is organized by Asd OneLine Skating School and Ads Sebs Fiera dello Sport, with free entry.

What to do at the roller skating festival

During the two days of the Roller skating festival, the Naples seafront will welcome a large track skating open top accessible to all: professionals, amateurs and anyone who wants to get closer to the world of skatingThe event includes:

• Seven competitions between races federal and demonstrative
• Shows and performances di professional athletes
• Inclusive discipline, with certified instructors available to participants
• La first european master inline skate marathon

They will also be present areas dedicated to different disciplines, like hockey and skating artistic, and one skate park where young people can experiment with evolutions and acrobatics.

Statements from the organizers

The presentation of the Roller skating festival took place at Palazzo San Giacomo in the presence of the Sports Councilor Emanuela Ferrante, the provincial delegate of Coni Napoli Agostino Felsani, the president of the Italian Federation of Roller Sports Campania Francesco Rossi, the president of the Italian Federation of Winter Sports Antonio Barulli and the organizers Rossella Montagna and Tommaso Conte.

“Our commitment is to give space to all sports with the aim of making them known to children and adults” – declared Councilor Ferrante. “After last year's success, the Roller skating festival returns as an opportunity to enjoy the beauties of Naples and to promote sporting activities”. The organizers stressed the importance of the event's inclusiveness and accessibility, offering an opportunity to learn about roller sports.

Tommaso Conte explained: “We have foreseen areas dedicated to various disciplines, like hockey and skating artistic, and one skate park for acrobatics. In addition to the races, there will be spaces for those who want to get closer to roller sports, with federal instructors ready to teach”.

Rossella Montagna added: “For the first time we will have a European Inline Skating Championship, a true Champion of this discipline. Two days of immersion in the sports activities where everyone can participate or just observe”.

Practical and logistical information

Il Roller skating festival will take place along the Caracciolo seafront, a perfect area for outdoor sporting events thanks to its location and the size of the spaces. The entrance is Loano train station and open to all, both to participate in the sports activities both to attend the performances.
