Sagra 'A Purpetta d'a Nonna 2025 in Scisciano, three evenings of flavors and music

From 9 to 11 May 2025, get back to Scisciano (NA) the most awaited event for lovers of Campania cuisine: the seventh edition of Grandma's Meatball Festival, known locally as 'A Purpetta d'a Nonna. The event will take place in Location Palazzuolo starting from 20:00, and is organized by theThe Palace Association, with the moral patronage of the Municipality of Scisciano.

Who organizes the festival?

The event is promoted by Il Palazzo, a cultural association that has been committed for years to the promotion of local traditions, with the support of the municipal administration. Their goal is to create opportunities for meeting and sharing, through events related to popular culture and the gastronomic heritage of the area.

What do you eat at Grandma's Meatball Festival?

The undisputed protagonist will be the grandma's meatball, prepared according to the recipe handed down from generation to generation: minced meat, bread crumbs, eggs e cheese, with a pinch of home-made wisdom that makes every bite a dive into the authentic flavours of Neapolitan cuisine.

During the festival it will be possible to taste variations of the traditional dish, accompanied by typical side dishes, fresh bread and local wine. The menu will be designed to enhance the simplicity and quality of the ingredients, respecting the peasant origins of the dish.

Other activities of the festival

In addition to the gastronomic offer, the three evenings will be animated by folk music, live shows and moments of aggregation designed for the whole family. The atmosphere will be that of the village festivals of the past, with lights, laughter and scents that invade the streets, making every evening an opportunity to meet and experience the community.
