Cilentana Festival in Cannicchio: Food, music, and wine in the village of Pollica on August 16th

On Sunday 16 August , the village of Cannicchio , a hamlet of Pollica in the heart of Cilento , lights up the stoves for the Sagra Cilentana 2026. From 20:30 pm , among the stone houses of the village, food, wine and live music will liven up the evening organised by the Cannicchio Nuovi Orizzonti Association.

The evening's focus is on Cilento's culinary tradition, with a popular menu that caters to all tastes. The village tables will feature cortecce pasta with eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and provola cheese , a signature first course of the local cuisine.

There's also room for local street food, with sandwiches with sausages and chips and fried pizza , a must-have at Cilento festivals. To finish on a sweet note, there are cannoli and traditional bridal desserts , while the beverage corner offers a selection of cocktails.

As the slogan of the event says: “lots of good food and wine”.

Live music by Alessandra Maffia will liven up the evening , bringing the square to life with a show designed to engage residents, visitors, and tourists vacationing in Cilento. This event aims to enhance the village of Cannicchio through flavor, hospitality, and tradition.
