Controne Bean Festival 2024: tradition, authentic flavors and celebration

From November 23 at 1 December 2024, Municipality of Controne (SA) hosts the 40th edition of the Controne Bean Festival, an event that celebrates the deep bond between the territory and its typical products. The festival represents an unmissable opportunity to learn about the tradition of Controne beans, cultivated for generations and appreciated for their unique quality. During the two festive weekends, the village will come alive with tastings, music, dances and cultural visits, offering visitors an authentic experience in the alleys of the historic center.

When will the Controne Bean Festival take place?

La Sagra del Fagiolo di Controne will be held on two consecutive weekends from November 23 at 1 December 2024The opening is scheduled for:

• Saturday 23rd and Saturday 30th November: from 17:00
• Sunday 24th November and Sunday 1st December: from 12:00

What can you taste during the festival?

The protagonist of the festival will naturally be the polenta with Controne beans, prepared with various traditional local recipes and accompanied by the excellent extra virgin olive oil of the territory.
