Pumpkin Flower Festival 2024 in San Rufo (SA)

A San Rufo (SA), in the heart of August, the 9th edition of the Pumpkin Flower Festival. The event will take place from8 to 10 August 2024 in Piazza Fontana Vaglio, near Salvioli Auto. Three days dedicated to taste and fun, in the week preceding Ferragosto, with a rich program of gastronomic and entertainment activities.

What do you eat at the festival

The menu of the Pumpkin Flower Festival it is rich and varied, offering typical local dishes with the courgette flower as the protagonist. Among the proposals are:

• Pasta with courgette flower cream, courgettes, cherry tomatoes, minced veal and extra virgin olive oil
• Small pan with pumpkin tops, potatoes and fatty sausage
• Grilled roasted pork neck with tomato salad
• Roasted caciocavallo with courgette flower cream and speck
• Sandwich with sausage and courgettes in oil

I courgette flowers they are prepared in different ways:

• In batter
• Stuffed with anchovies
• Stuffed with mozzarella and mortadella

Other dishes include French fries, fried lace with piennolo tomato from Vesuvius, fried white lace with mozzarella, courgette flower cream and mortadella, and wood oven pizza in the margherita variants and with sausage and courgette flowers (white). There is no shortage of various drinks, draft beer and red wine. For desserts, you can taste them courgette flowers with hazelnut cream, honey, pistachio cream e donuts.

Shows and other activities

La Pumpkin Flower Festival it offers not only culinary delights, but also a varied entertainment programme:

• August 8th: Tamburine Parade
• August 9th: Concert by the cover band Vasco Cover Idea77
• August 10th: Show by cabaret artist Franco Guzzo

All evenings will be animated by the music of Agostino Lacava. Furthermore, every evening from 23.00 pm there will be a Night Party with Cocktail Bar. For the entertainment of families and children, inflatables, a mechanical bull and dancing will be available.
