Pork and gnocchi with sauce festival 2025 in Cesinali with music and good wine

From 12 to 15 June 2025, the municipality of Cesinali, in the province of Avellino, is preparing to unite faith, music and typical cuisine on the occasion of the celebrations dedicated to Saint Anthony of PaduaThe absolute protagonist will be the Pork and gnocchi with sauce festival, a much-anticipated gastronomic event, carefully organized by the Pro Loco of Cesinali.

Who organizes the festival?

The event is included in the program of civil and religious celebrations for St. Anthony, supported by local authorities and carried out with the active involvement of the Cesinalese community, from associations to volunteers. The Pro Loco of Cesinali takes care of the entire event, including the musical events, the song festival and the religious celebrations.

What do you eat at the festival

The central dish of the event is the symbolic combination of Irpinia cuisine: gnocchi with sauce e pork prepared according to tradition. The home recipes, handed down through generations, will be accompanied by local Aglianico wine, to enhance the intense flavour of peasant cuisine.

Saturday 14th June, starting at 20:30, food stands will be open with an offer that includes:

• gnocchi with irpinian sauce
• pork-based dishes
• typical local side dishes
• traditional sweets and Aglianico wine

Other activities of the festival

In addition to the culinary offerings, the festival is part of a calendar full of initiatives. On Thursday 12 and Friday 13 June the “Cesinali Canta” singing festival, to be held in Saverio Urciuoli square from 21:00 pm. Saturday will be the turn of the live music with thePalladino Group Orchestra, while Sunday 15 June will open with the “Città di Serino” band and the traditional procession of Saint Anthony.

On the religious front, the program also includes the Triduum of preparation, the Eucharistic celebration, the blessing of the bread and finally the solemn procession of the Saint on the final day.

Information and parking

The festival takes place in the heart of the town, between the square and the surrounding streets. For those arriving from outside, there will be a ticket available free parking in areas indicated by the organization. Entrance to the party and shows is Free.
