Soffritto, Sausages and Friarielli Festival in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio

Il 25 January 2025, starting at 19pm, the Belvedere square in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio will be transformed into a temple of taste with the Sausages and Friarielli Festival.

The event, now in its 28th edition, is a point of reference for lovers of Campania's gastronomic traditions and an opportunity to celebrate the day dedicated to the Patron Saint. Organized by the Don Bosco Oratory, the festival represents a moment of sharing, music and authentic flavors, with special attention to solidarity: the proceeds will be donated to the Parish Caritas to support those in difficulty.

The tradition of soffritto and friarielli

The undisputed protagonists of the evening will be the delicacies of Neapolitan tradition: the fried, a dish of humble origins based on pork offal cooked in sauce, the sausages and the famous friarielli, a combination that represents the essence of Neapolitan cuisine. The food stands will offer these specialties along with other typical dishes, in a convivial and familiar atmosphere.

Music, entertainment and a solidarity evening

The event will not only be a journey through flavors, but also an opportunity to have fun thanks to the young people of the community who will liven up the evening with live music, shows and moments of entertainment. The Panoramic square of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio will offer an evocative context to celebrate the Patron Saint together, combining tradition and innovation in a climate of joy and sharing.

An event sponsored by the Municipality and the Park Authority

La Sausages and Friarielli Festival is sponsored by the Municipality of San Sebastiano al Vesuvio and the Vesuvius Park Authority, underlining the importance of promoting the territory and its culinary excellence. The initiative is one of the most anticipated events of the season, attracting visitors from all over the region.
