Sagra della Melanzana 2025 in Marigliano, three days of taste and shows

Three days of strong flavours, Neapolitan cuisine and entertainment: back to Marigliano, in Busiello Park, the Eggplant Festival 2025. After a five-year hiatus, the event brings the scent of most loved recipes of the Neapolitan tradition, with many variations based on aubergine. Appointment from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June, with free admission for all and a rich programme of musical performances, gastronomy and activities for the little ones.

Who organizes the festival?

The event is organized thanks to the collaboration of the local community and numerous volunteers, which contribute to the creation of the stands, logistics management and service to the public. The aim is to relaunch a historic event linked to the gastronomic identity of the area and to conviviality, bringing back to the forefront the aubergine as a symbol of a simple but tasty cuisine.

What do you eat at the festival

The festival menu revolves around the aubergine, available in various preparations. The proposals include:

• Sicilian-style timbale
• Pennetta of the festival
• Sausage sandwich + side dish of your choice between:
  • Eggplant A Mushroom
  • Red Parmigiana
  • White Parmigiana
  • Chips
• Alternative menu 3 side dishes + sandwich with:
  • Red and white parmigiana
  • Eggplant cutlet
  • Eggplant meatball
  • Eggplant rolls
  • Eggplant A Mushroom
• Fish fry shrimp and calamari
• Classic or Nutella donut
• Soft drinks, beer, wine, coffee, bitter

The dishes are served thanks to the work of the entire community, which guarantees quality and hospitality.

Other activities of the festival

Every evening will be animated by musical performances for all tastes:

• Friday 27 June: Carmine Coppola and the Friends of Tammorra
• Saturday June 28th: Tribalafro, DJ Peter, Sax Barbato Gallucci
• Sunday 29 June: grand finale with Jose and Jenny Sax

For children there is ababy park area with inflatables and games, supervised by four animators. The atmosphere will be informal, warm and designed for all ages.
