Mortadella Festival 2025 in Gauro, what to eat and shows

From 4 to 7 July 2025, in the village of Goofy (Montecorvino Rovella – SA), the Mortadella Festival, an event that unites local gastronomy, live music and moments of sociality. Four days with free entry to enhance one of the most iconic sausages, proposed in traditional and revisited versions. The event involves the entire historic center with food stands, play areas for children and craft markets distributed among the streets of the town.

Who organizes the festival?

The event is promoted by a local committee of volunteers in collaboration with local associations. The aim is to promote typical products in a rural context, strengthening the gastronomic and cultural roots of the village. Free participation allows everyone to enjoy a convivial experience between authentic flavors and popular entertainment. The program includes local artists and activities dedicated to families.

What do you eat at the festival

The menu revolves around the mortadella, proposed in variants creative and tasty. Main dishes include:

• Focaccia bread with pistachio mortadella, buffalo mozzarella, rocket and cherry tomatoes
• Rosetta with mortadella with crusco pepper, semi-mature pecorino cheese, extra virgin olive oil
• Hot dog with mortadella and lemon sauce
• Caciocavallo 'hanged with wild boar mortadella with truffle
• Baked Pizza with mortadella, stracciata and chopped pistachios
• Mortadella skewers with buffalo mozzarella cherry and datterino tomato
• Roasted mortadella grilled
• zeppole e pistachio muffins for desserts

The shops will be open all day long craft markets in the historic center. From 16: 00 to 20: 00, space dedicated to games for children and teenagers from 3 to 16 years: an area designed to involve families and make the experience complete.

Information and parking

Admission to the event is Free, without reservation. Visitors can easily reach Gaur of Montecorvino Rovella with recommended exit from the SA-AV motorway. They are available free public parking near the festival area. The food stands open in the afternoon and remain open until late evening, following the show schedule.
