Limatola Meatball Festival 2025. Menu, dates and information

Il San Biagio Festival Committee presents first edition of Meatball Festival, an event dedicated to gastronomy and local identity, scheduled for Limavady on weekends from May 30 at 22 June 2025The event will be held at the premises of the Parish of San Biagio, open every evening from 20:00.

Who organizes the festival?

The initiative was born from the will of the San Biagio Festival Committee, with the aim of celebrating the culinary traditions of the area and raising funds for parish activities. The project involved dozens of volunteers, local producers and passionate citizens, creating a solid network between faith, culture and cuisine.

What do you eat at the Meatball Festival?

The heart of the gastronomic offer is represented by the Meatballs, available in classic and original versions:

• Grandma's meatballs with sauce
• Smoked Meatballs
• Meatballs with aubergines, potatoes and bread
• Vegetarian Meatballs
• Pulled Pork and Cheddar Meatballs
• Chicken meatballs
• Cheddar and Jalapeño Meatballs

Completing the menu:

• Limatolese caserecce with red ragù from Marchigiana
• Limatolese Pici with white Frisona ragù
• Side dishes of your choice: caponata limatolese, baked potatoes farmer style, capricciosa garden salad, french fries
• Sandwiches and cuoppi: panuozzo with meatballs (with red or white sauce and bacon), cuoppo of “meatball snacks”

In lunch menu a is also planned complete menu with appetizer, first course, second course with side dish, bread and a drink of your choice between water or local wine.

Other activities of the festival

Every evening will be animated by live music, shows, group dances and entertainment for all ages. The atmosphere is typical of village festivals: welcoming, authentic and capable of creating community. There will also be well-organized refreshment areas, spaces for children and moments dedicated to the rediscovery of local traditions.

Information and parking

The festival takes place in the premises adjacent to the Parish of San Biagio in Limatola, easily accessible and with ample parking possibilities near the event area.
