La first edition of the Limatola Meatball Festival is bringing a breath of enthusiasm to the small town in the province of Benevento. After the first exciting appointments from 17 19 to May, the festival continues with new dates: from 24 to 26 May and then again the May 31st, June 1st and 2nd. Full days await us tastings of typical dishes and local wine, with a program enriched by entertainment, live music and dancing.

The meatball tradition

The choice to celebrate the meatball is not random, but has its roots in one ancient tradition linked to the day of San Biagio, patron saint of Limatola, which falls on February 3rd. Ennio Marotta, a young entrepreneur and one of the promoters of the festival, explains that the date was moved to May to ensure greater community involvement.

During the festival, there will be meatballs, vegetable meatballs and many gourmet proposals, ensuring weekends characterized by good food, music and good air.

The program of the Meatball Festival

The Limatola Meatball Festival offers a program full of activities and entertainment.
Here are the times.

  • Sunday: from 12: 00 at midnight
  • Weekdays: from 19: 00 at midnight

During these times, in addition to the tastings of typical dishes, we will be accompanied by live music, entertainment for adults and children, and engaging traditional dances. The festival takes place on the premises of the Parish of San Biagio.
